# Taroculus

> Taroculus is a mobile app that reads tarot cards from a photo. Snap or pick an image of a tarot spread; Taroculus uses AI to identify the cards and return an interpretation in English, Spanish, or Italian. It is also a practical way to learn how to read tarots: each reading shows the spread type, the cards detected, their upright and reversed meanings, and how they combine into an overview and a suggestion. ## How it works

1. Open the app and tap "Camera" or "Gallery" to capture or pick a tarot spread.
2. Taroculus recognizes the cards with AI and produces a reading: spread type, each card's name and upright/reversed meaning, an overview, a suggestion, a sentiment, and past/present/future sections for multi-card spreads.
3. Readings are stored locally on-device and listed under "Previous readings", so you can review them and learn from past spreads.
4. Each reading costs 1 token. Tokens are obtained via in-app purchase or promo code.

## Learn to read tarots

Taroculus is built as a learning tool as much as a reading tool. For each spread it explains which cards were detected and what each one means upright or reversed, so you can follow along, compare with your own interpretation, and gradually build familiarity with the cards and common spreads.
